Saka signed a new five-year deal<\/strong> that has been months in the making, nudging Kai Havertz from this list. We\u2019ll leave the German to dry his tears with his crisp fifties.<\/p>\n

This ranking is based on base salary only \u2013 no bonuses included \u2013 with most figures sourced from Capology.<\/strong><\/p>\n

10) Alexander Isak (Liverpool) \u2013 \u00a3280,000 a week<\/strong>
Isak is being paid \u00a314.56m a year, an increase of 133 per cent on the \u00a3120,000-a-week salary he was trousering at Newcastle. Which is not unreasonable since his agent can point to Isak\u2019s status as British football\u2019s most-expensive player. Which he will have to justify when he\u2019s back from injury.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

9) Omar Marmoush (Manchester City) \u2013 \u00a3295,000 a week<\/strong>
The first of four Manchester City entries in the top 10 and perhaps one of the more surprising names on the list. His agent played a blinder when he moved to City because the striker was only on just north of \u00a333,000 a week at Eintracht Frankfurt.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

8) Jack Grealish (Manchester City\/Everton) \u2013 \u00a3300,000 a week<\/strong>
It is no surprise to see Grealish on such an extraordinary salary since it was negotiated when he became English football\u2019s first \u00a3100million purchase, before Pep Guardiola had sussed that he didn\u2019t fancy the star after all<\/strong>. Grealish joined Everton on loan, with the Toffees liable for \u00a3225,000 a week, making him their highest-paid player by a margin of \u00a3100,000 a week, while City top up the rest. So it\u2019s especially sickening for the Merseysiders that he may miss the rest of the season.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

7) Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United) \u2013 \u00a3300,000 a week<\/strong>
United probably wept weekly when similar amounts left their coffers to be deposited into Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford\u2019s accounts but Fernandes is more than worth it to the Red Devils. Without him, things would have been even bleaker.<\/p>\n

6) Bernardo Silva (Manchester City) \u2013 \u00a3300,000 a week<\/strong>
Silva is in the final season of his \u00a315.6million-a-year salary at City. The Portugal star reportedly doubled his money when he signed a new contract in 2023.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

5) Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) \u2013 \u00a3300,000 a week<\/strong>
No confirmation of the weekly wedge being trousered by Saka for next five years but all the reports of his recent contract renewal put the figure at \u2018in excess of \u00a3300,00 a week\u2019, which represents a wage raise of more that \u00a3100,000 a week.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

4) Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool) \u2013 \u00a3350,000 a week<\/strong>
Van Dijk is on almost double the salary he signed for when joining Liverpool<\/strong> in 2018. Few would argue the captain hasn\u2019t been worth his money up to this season, but it is now a matter for debate.<\/p>\n

3) Casemiro (Manchester United) \u2013 \u00a3350,000 a week<\/strong>
United almost doubled Casemiro\u2019s Real Madrid wage and, at first, he looked good value for money. Then\u2026he did not. The Brazilian is earning his coin again but only until the summer when there will be no renewal.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

2) Mo Salah (Liverpool) \u2013 \u00a3400,000 a week<\/strong>
A \u00a32.6million-a-year pay rise was viewed as more than worth it to keep the Egyptian around \u2013 and to spare the cost of replacing him \u2013 but half a season later, that is not the case and it has now been \u2018agreed\u2019 that he will leave on a free transfer this summer.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

1) Erling Haaland (Manchester City) \u2013 \u00a3525,000 a week<\/strong>
We\u2019re told that there were months of negotiations before Haaland signed his deal for 10 (TEN) seasons which makes us wonder: where the hell was his agents\u2019 starting point?! It is obviously a very cushy deal for Haaland, but also a massive \u2018f*** you\u2019 from City to, well, everyone.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
