Neville baulks as Scholes prediction for crunch Premier League title clash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div><!-- Article Start --><\/p>\n<p>Gary Neville is shocked at Paul Scholes\u2019 prediction for the crunch title clash between Manchester City and Arsenal on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Defeat to Bournemouth last weekend leaves Arsenal six points clear of Manchester City, who tore Chelsea apart at Stamford Bridge, ahead of the game at the Etihad.<\/p>\n<p>A win for Pep Guardiola\u2019s side and another victory over Burnley on Wednesday will see both team ahead into the 34th game of the season locked together at the Premier League summit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ MORE: Premier League play-off? Etihad draw opens door to Arsenal v Man City title decider in 39th game<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>While Arsenal hadn\u2019t lost a Premier League game since January before the defeat to Bournemouth, which also ended a run of four consecutive wins, Mikel Arteta\u2019s side haven\u2019t produced a convincing performance for a good while now.<\/p>\n<p>And that stands in stark contrast to the displays of Manchester City, who only now look to be getting into their stride, as has so often proved to be the case in title run-ins under Guardiola.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Predicting the result on <em>The Overlap<\/em><\/strong>Neville was taken aback by Scholes\u2019 claim.<\/p>\n<p>Neville began: \u201cI think it\u2019s going to be a draw on Sunday and I think it\u2019ll be 1-1.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Paul Scholes disagreed, backing City to beat the Gunners by two or three goals. The former midfielder said: \u201cI think City will win easily.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust comfortable. Unless they get someone sent off or something stupid. I think they\u2019ll win comfortably. Two or three (nil).\u201d<\/p>\n<p><smartframe-embed customer-id=\"0fab81ce12e48a0794275e1d82449fb1\" image-id=\"1032936847\" style=\"width: 100%; display: inline-flex; max-width: 100%;\"\/><\/p>\n<p>A stunned Neville reacted: \u201cWow\u2026 wow!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this week, Scholes said Arsenal haven\u2019t got it in them to beat Manchester City to the title as \u201cthey don\u2019t win big games\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Scholes said on <em>The Good, The Bad &#038; The Football podcast<\/em><\/strong>: \u201cI just think Arsenal have gone, me.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just think all the momentum is with City. At some point, you have to beat your rivals.
