Man Utd legend Paul Scholes insists that Arsenal \u201chave gone\u201d in the Premier League title race as \u201call the momentum\u201d is now with Man City.<\/p>\n
The Gunners have allowed the Citizens back into the title race after they lost 2-1 to Bournemouth on Saturday with Pep Guardiola\u2019s side taking advantage by beating Chelsea 3-0 at Stamford Bridge<\/strong>.<\/p>\n That means Man City<\/strong> are now six points behind<\/strong> leaders Arsenal<\/strong> with a game in hand, while the Gunners will travel to face the Citizens at the Etihad Stadium in their next match.<\/p>\n It is still in Arsenal\u2019s hands if they can avoid defeat in Manchester but Scholes reckons the Gunners have now \u201cgone\u201d in the title race.<\/p>\n Scholes said on The Good, The Bad & The Football podcast<\/em>: \u201cI just think Arsenal have gone, me.<\/p>\n \u201cI just think all the momentum is with City. At some point, you have to beat your rivals. I\u2019ve not seen them do it, they don\u2019t win big games.\u201d<\/p>\n READ: Big Midweek: Real v Bayern, Arsenal, Arne Slot, Rashford, Forest<\/strong><\/p>\n Scholes\u2019 former team-mate Nicky Butt thinks Arsenal are showing that it\u2019s an \u201cabsolute nightmare\u201d to get over the line when you haven\u2019t won a title for a long time.<\/p>\n Butt added: \u201cUntil you\u2019ve won it, or got over that hurdle, it is an absolute nightmare.<\/p>\n \u201cYou\u2019re just thinking that you\u2019re going to let them down again, and you can see that now with Arsenal and City, especially with Pep in charge, the amount of times he\u2019s won the title.\u201d<\/p>\n Former Man Utd captain Roy Keane argued that it is the responsibility of players like Declan Rice to \u201cget a grip\u201d and guide Arsenal to glory.<\/p>\n Keane said on Sky Sports<\/em>: \u201cRice has to show more leadership skills. That was a nervous performance. I\u2019d rather be nervous up the field than giving the ball away cheaply in our own half.<\/p>\n \u201cYou have to smell these things.
