Arsenal are one of three Premier League clubs to have \u2018asked\u2019 Manchester United about Marcus Rashford amid a stalemate with Barcelona and the England international\u2019s response has been revealed.<\/p>\n
Rashford\u2019s future is up in the air as he prepares for the World Cup with England as Barcelona have no plans to take up the \u00a326m option \u2013 valid until June 15 \u2013 to make his loan move permanent.<\/p>\n
Transfer expert Ben Jacobs claimed on Wednesday<\/strong> that the La Liga giants are willing to pay \u00a326m, but only at the end of the next season.<\/p>\n Jacobs told the United Stand<\/em>: \u2018Barcelona have told Man United two things in the last two or three weeks\u2026<\/p>\n \u20181. They\u2019ll pay \u20ac20 million with a different structure.<\/p>\n \u20182. They won\u2019t pay \u20ac20 million, they\u2019ll do \u20ac30 million but they want a season long loan, and that \u20ac30 million be a conditional obligation, likely triggered by performance-related criteria.<\/p>\n \u2018Man United are saying no, it\u2019s \u20ac30 million now otherwise Rashford won\u2019t join.\u2019<\/p>\n While United stand firm a number of alternative suitors have approached them to sound out a potential deal for the 28-year-old.<\/p>\n The i Paper<\/em> has credited Tottenham, Aston Villa and Bayern Munich with interest, while Mirror have revealed Newcastle are also keen on the winger.<\/p>\n Rashford is \u2018not interested in going to either Newcastle or Tottenham\u2019, according to that report, and now Spanish outlet SPORT<\/em><\/strong> claim that he\u2019s also given short shrift to interest from Premier League Champions and Champions League finalists Arsenal.<\/p>\n They claim that the Gunners have \u2018asked\u2019 United about Rashford but the winger \u2018doesn\u2019t want to listen to them\u2019.<\/p>\n That\u2019s even after Barcelona manager Hansi Flick and United legend Paul Scholes lobbied for his move to the Emirates.<\/p>\n Reports in Spain on Wednesday<\/strong> claimed that Flick is \u2018asking him to please accept\u2019 a transfer \u2018offer\u2019 from Arsenal as he is not in the German\u2019s plans, even on a free transfer.<\/p>\n The report added: \u2018The German coach no longer sees him as a necessary player and, given Arsenal \u2018s interest, his stance is that the best option for all parties is for Rashford to accept a move to the Premier League.\u2019<\/p>\n And Scholes gave his approval to Rashford leaving Man Utd for Arsenal in the summer with a potential transfer \u201ca great move for both parties\u201d.<\/p>\n Scholes said on The Good, The Bad & The Football podcast<\/em><\/strong>: \u201cBarcelona have a deal in place to buy him but I think they\u2019re trying to get him cheaper.\u201d<\/p>\n When asked about Arsenal\u2019s reported interest in Rashford, he added: \u201cThat would be a great move, a great move for both parties.<\/p>\n \u201cI think Arsenal would be a great move for him and the club.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/div>\nFlick and Scholes push for Arsenal move<\/h2>\n
