Arsenal should drop Bukayo Saka for Noni Madueke amid the England international\u2019s poor form, according to Ally McCoist, which is a concern ahead of the World Cup.<\/p>\n
The Gunners have been having a great season in all competitions but their first blemish of the campaign came on Sunday as they lost the Carabao Cup final to Manchester City 2-0 at Wembley.<\/p>\n
Arsenal<\/strong> are still in a commanding position in the Premier League, nine points clear of second-placed Man City, while they are still in the Champions League and FA Cup.<\/p>\n But some of their players are still being criticised with Arsenal winger Saka avoiding a lot of stick because he\u2019s a fan favourite and extremely lovable character.<\/p>\n However, Saka has contributed just two goals and one assist in his last 16 matches for Arsenal in all competitions and Ray Parlour picked out the England international for criticism after their Carabao Cup final defeat.<\/p>\n Parlour told talkSPORT<\/em>:\u00a0\u201cToo many people had off days.<\/p>\n READ: <\/span>Kepa Arrizabalaga EFL Cup final calamities ranked by disastrousness after latest loss with Arsenal<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cSaka, he didn\u2019t have a good game\u2026 He\u2019s out of form, maybe lost a bit of confidence, I don\u2019t know, belief?\u201d<\/p>\n McCoist added: \u201cI said maybe three or four months ago, I thought (Noni) Madueke, at that particular time, was a better prospect.\u201d<\/p>\n It\u2019s concerning as an England fan ahead of the World Cup, Parlour admitted: \u201cIt\u2019s not ideal this year, going into the World Cup as well, if you\u2019re an England fan. He\u2019ll probably be playing on the right-hand side.\u201d<\/p>\n Arsenal legend Emmanuel Petit raised the subject of Saka again later in the show, he said:\u00a0\u201cI have said for weeks, \u2018I love Bukayo Saka\u2019, I do. However, I think the form has dipped a little bit\u2026 I don\u2019t know (why).\u201d<\/p>\n MORE ARSENAL COVERAGE ON F365\u2026<\/strong> McCoist responded: \u201cI\u2019ll tell you what I think it is, I just think it\u2019s a drop in form, I don\u2019t know whether it\u2019s a confidence thing.\u201d<\/p>\n When asked whether Saka should come out of the team for a bit, McCoist replied:\u00a0\u201cI maybe would. Because I think you\u2019ve got to pick your strongest team.
