Arsenal winger Noni Madueke is set to make the England World Cup squad as Cole Palmer, Phil Foden and two others are left out after news of Harry Maguire\u2019s absence, according to reports.<\/p>\n

Thomas Tuchel will reveal his World Cup squad on Friday as he chooses 26 players to represent the Three Lions in Canada, Mexico and USA next month.<\/p>\n

News broke earlier on Thursday evening<\/strong> that Manchester United centre-back Maguire will not be part of Tuchel\u2019s plans for the summer tournament with the defender revealing his \u201cshock\u201d at the decision, while his Red Devils team-mate Kobbie Mainoo is set to be included.<\/p>\n

And now BBC Sport<\/em>\u2018s Sami Mokbel has revealed that Chelsea star Cole Palmer, Manchester City attacking midfielder Phil Foden, Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw and AC Milan centre-back Fikayo Tomori are also set to miss out on the England<\/strong> squad.<\/p>\n

Mokbel wrote:<\/p>\n

\u2018Shaw was named in\u00a0Tuchel\u2019s 55-man provisional squad\u00a0and there had been a clamour for his inclusion.<\/p>\n

\u2018But, with Newcastle\u2019s Dan Burn and Manchester City\u2019s Nico O\u2019Reilly in line to be called-up, Shaw is expected to miss out.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u2018AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori is also expected to be left out, though Arsenal winger Noni Madueke is expected to make the cut \u2013 joining team-mates Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice.\u2019<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The Athletic<\/em>\u2018s David Ornstein also revealed that former Brentford striker Ivan Toney, who is currently playing in Saudi Arabia, will be in the England squad.<\/p>\n

Ornstein, who also brought news of Newcastle\u2019s Tino Livramento being included, wrote on X<\/em>: \u2018Ivan Toney recalled to England squad for 2026 World Cup. 30yo Al Ahli striker rewarded for 42 goals + 11 assists in 37 #AlAhli appearances across all competitions this season. As reported by Ben Jacobs: \u201cSome big calls by Thomas Tuchel ahead of tomorrow\u2019s England squad announcement. Ivan Toney is the notable inclusion, while Noni Madueke and Tino Livramento both get the nod. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cKobbie Mainoo also picked, as revealed earlier. A richly-deserved selection for the Manchester United midfielder after becoming a starter post Ruben Amorim. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cNo Harry Maguire, as we broke on talkSPORT, or Adam Wharton. Both will prompt debate. Luke Shaw also missing. And Cole Palmer, Phil Foden, Lewis Hall and Levi Colwill among those who miss out.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Earlier on Thursday it was claimed that Chelsea defender Levi Colwill could be likely to get the nod from Tuchel after making a good impression in recent weeks \u2013 but Mokbel dismissed that by claiming the returning star is \u2018also in line for disappointment\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ahead of Chelsea\u2019s penultimate match of the campaign at home to Tottenham, interim boss Calum McFarlane said of Colwill: \u201cWe need to be careful with Levi.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s obviously off the back of a very serious injury and has performed well in those two games. We\u2019ll see how he looks today, how he reports, and we\u2019ll make a decision on that.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been great to have him back, great for English football as well. I think we\u2019ve got a really talented, really high-potential player here.<\/p>\n

\u201cInjuries are a part of it, and he\u2019s shown really good mental strength and character to come through that and perform away at Anfield and in an FA Cup final.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shearer tips Colwill to make the England squad<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Before the likelihood of Colwill getting a call-up was announced, former England striker Alan Shearer predicted that the Chelsea centre-back would be in contention despite his injury worries.<\/p>\n

Shearer said on The Rest Is Football<\/em>: \u201cI thought Colwill played really well for Chelsea and I think he might have played himself into the England squad.<\/p>\n

\u201cI do, I thought he was excellent.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked if the length of Colwill\u2019s recent injury layoff was a cause for concern, Shearer replied: \u201cIn terms of an injury, if you\u2019re going to take John Stones, will you take a risk on someone who has been out for a long time?<\/p>\n

\u201cSo that\u2019s tough but I thought he was one of the big plusses for Chelsea.\u201d<\/p>\n
