Arsenal legends Ian Wright and Arsene Wenger think the levels of the Gunners\u2019 celebrations after beating Atletico Madrid were completely normal.<\/p>\n
Bukayo Saka scored the only goal of the game on 44 minutes on Tuesday as Arsenal<\/strong> won 1-0 on the night against Atleti and 2-1 on aggregate in their Champions League semi-final.<\/p>\n That victory booked a place in the Gunners\u2019 first Champions League final for 20 years, when they lost 2-1 to Barcelona in 2006.<\/p>\n Understandably, Arsenal were over the moon to get to the final of the Champions League in the same week as they took back control of the Premier League title race after Manchester City drew 3-3 with Everton.<\/p>\n Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney and some other rival fans were quick to jump on their celebrations as it was seen as slighly over the top after not winning any silverware on the night.<\/p>\n Rooney said on Prime Video<\/em>: \u201cThey haven\u2019t won it yet.<\/p>\n READ: <\/span>Four games in 25 days stand between Champions League finalists Arsenal and unfathomable glory<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cI think the celebrations are a little bit too heavy. Celebrate when you win\u2026but no, they deserve it.\u201d<\/p>\n Legendary Arsenal boss Wenger insisted the celebrations were \u201cdeserved\u201d and \u201cabsolutely normal\u201d for winning a big night.<\/p>\n Wenger said on beIN SPORTS<\/em>: \u201cI think Arsenal wanted wanted it a bit more than Atleti and they were more decisive in the duals.<\/p>\n \u201cWe said before the game that to go to the final they needed to be strong defensively and they didn\u2019t concede a goal tonight.<\/p>\n \u201cThey played a team who for 45 minutes absolutely needed to score a goal and they didn\u2019t give them a chance.<\/p>\n \u201cI believe it shows how strong Arsenal are defensively and how disciplined they are, as well a bit the limitations of Atletico, who were not good enough in the final third.<\/p>\n \u201cIn the end it\u2019s a well-deserved win for Arsenal, there\u2019s no doubt they were the better team over the two legs.<\/p>\n \u201cThey celebrate well tonight which is normal but you want to focus already on the final and the next games.<\/p>\n READ: Shearer selects \u2018exceptional\u2019 Arsenal star for special praise after Atletico Madrid win<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cThe celebration is deserved and happiness is normal \u2013 absolutely normal \u2013 but the next step is to go to the final and win in.\u201d<\/p>\n Arsenal legend Wright jumped straight on all the \u201ccelebration police\u201d after the match and told Gunners fans to \u201cenjoy\u201d the moment.<\/p>\n Wright took to social media and said: \u201cArsenal fans, let me tell you something: enjoy this.<\/p>\n \u201cThe celebration police will be out in force, do not get nicked!<\/p>\n \u201cEnjoy yourselves, football\u2019s about moments and this is a big moment. Enjoy it.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd let\u2019s hope that in the final and after the final, we have another massive moment.
