Former Tottenham Hotspur player Jamie O\u2019Hara has hit out at Atletico Madrid following their \u201cembarrassing\u201d performance against Arsenal.<\/p>\n
Atletico Madrid exited the Champions League on Tuesday night, having lost 2-1 on aggregate to Premier League giants Arsenal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The two sides were level at 1-1 heading into Tuesday\u2019s return leg at the Emirates, and Bukayo Saka<\/strong> scored the only goal in the second leg as the Gunners edged past the Spanish giants.<\/p>\n Atletico had a bit of a go after Arsenal took the lead, but they struggled to threaten their opponents and were deservedly beaten.<\/p>\n Speaking post-match, Atletico boss Diego Simeone admitted he is \u201ccalm\u201d about their Champions League exit.<\/p>\n \u201cWell if we got knocked out it\u2019s because our opponents deserved to get through,\u201d Simeone said post-match.<\/p>\n READ: <\/span>Four games in 25 days stand between Champions League finalists Arsenal and unfathomable glory<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cThey took their big chance in the first-half and they deserved to get through. I feel calm, I feel peaceful.\u201d<\/p>\n It is not out of character for O\u2019Hara to be salty at Arsenal\u2019s success and he\u2019s now refused to give Tottenham\u2019s rivals credit for reaching the Champions League final. Instead, he has hit out at \u201cembarrassing\u201d Atletico.<\/p>\n \u201cThey\u2019re toilet, mate.
