{"id":1011,"date":"2026-05-02T07:33:11","date_gmt":"2026-05-02T07:33:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/esport.com.ng\/?p=1011"},"modified":"2026-05-02T07:33:11","modified_gmt":"2026-05-02T07:33:11","slug":"full-blown-bidding-war-for-record-breaking-e150m-star-after-andrea-berta-initiates-discussions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/esport.com.ng\/?p=1011","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Full-blown bidding war\u2019 for record-breaking \u20ac150m star after Andrea Berta \u2018initiates discussions\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div><!-- Article Start --><\/p>\n<p>Arsenal have made a move to bring Victor Osimhen to the Emirates Stadium, according to a report, which has also revealed the competition Gunners sporting director Andrea Berta will face from Barcelona.<\/p>\n<p>It emerged earlier this week that <strong>Berta had been to Istanbul to watch Osimhen for Arsenal <\/strong>last weekend.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Arsenal<\/strong> sporting director was at the Turkish Super Lig game between Galatasaray and Fenerbahce last Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Berta was a guest of FIFA-licensed agent George Gardi, who unofficially works as a transfer mediator for Galatasaray.<\/p>\n<p>The Arsenal official took the opportunity to watch <strong>Osimhen<\/strong> live in person, with Spanish publication AS claiming that the Nigeria international striker was \u2018his top priority\u2019.<\/p>\n<p><em>AllJuve <\/em>has now followed up on that report, with the Juventus-centric Italian news outlet reporting that Berta has \u2018already initiated initial exploratory discussions to assess the feasibility of the deal\u2019.<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ: Rice faces Champions League ban as UEFA launch probe after Arsenal vs Atletico<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Arsenal and Barcelona want Victor Osimhen from Galatasaray<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The report added: \u2018Osimhen\u2019s profile is set to be one of the most talked-about next summer.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Arsenal\u2019s interest, combined with that of <strong>Barcelona<\/strong>\u200b\u200bcould spark a full-blown international bidding war.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Barcelona are on the hunt for a new striker, with Robert Lewandowski unlikely to stay at the Spanish club beyond the end of the season.<\/p>\n<p><smartframe-embed customer-id=\"e8c3ce70f1ad837bdffb21e2453272b6\" image-id=\"XhXPV3SAG3F7\" style=\"width: 100%;
